Brookby Herbs is a leading New Zealand owned manufacturer of natural and organic herbal healthcare products for pets. Founder Jackie Rive and the passionate group of people working with her have been producing natural medicinal health blends for animals since 1999.
Brookby Herbs are well known for being one of the earliest NZ manufacturers of herbal animal health care remedies. We are passionate about natural health and the environment.
Equine joint supplements and canine joint supplements are our specialty and natural herbal remedies for horses and dogs are our passion. Helping animals live longer and happier lives.
Imagine a world where everything we ate and fed to our animals was genetically modified and made in a laboratory. Where scientists dictated what was good for you and mother nature was ignored and discounted. Would you really trust a world of artificial foods?
Everyday we hear about the amazing advances in technology and how our food can be manufactured for us. Somehow the scientists think they know more than the natural play of mother nature. If you have ever thought about nature and how it works you will see that it has an amazing ability to know what is the right balance to create a perfect being but unfortunately man has come along and tried to tamper with and even replicate nature but usually in a rather inferior way. I totally respect scientists and what they are capable of creating but personally I want my food and my animals food left alone.
At Brookby Herbs we believe in nature and the power of nature derived from nutrition and what we all eat, ourselves and our animals are included. We believe that nature has most of the answers to good health if only we would stop interfering and would allow it to work its magic. We believe that by protecting the environment and allowing nature to produce healthy food we can tap in to this and help our animals live longer and happier lives.
By not tampering with agriculture and horticultural methods we can allow food to transfer its goodness to us via what we eat.
Our herbs are grown by specialists and taken straight from the field to high tech dryers within two hours of cutting, a critical aspect of herb production, resulting in very little loss of active ingredients. The drying temperature is maintained below 40 degrees celsius, sealing in the active ingredients and maintaining optimum quality. The herbs we use are also used by the human market and undergo stringent quality testing under an HPLC test. This is a highly trusted, standardised world method for testing active ingredients.
